So the March issues are here! Yea my favorite time of each month is giving you guys the cliffs on some of my favorite magazines!
So today we shall start with Lucky Magazine. A favorite of mine. The March issue has rising star Camilla Belle (Push, 10,000B.C.) on the cover. Her beauty is just jaw dropping on the cover. With makeup by Lancome and wardrobe by Zac Posen, Derek Lam & Louis Vuitton.
Articles on the cover include " High Style" & "Perfect Hair & Gorgeous Glow" We are getting ready for spring so palettes and styles of course will be changing with it.
Page 66 (I dunno why I didn't really seem to think the first 60 pages were worth my time writing about) "The Web Pages" You ladies know I love covering this because I love seeing how others are looking at fashion and style around the world. This month Lucky inlcudes sites like Indiaplaza.com (Jewelry) & marionmercer.com (Vintage gowns and accessories) I visited some of the sites. I really enjoyed the Marion Mercer site. Have fun!
Page 89 "Style Spy" has a few pages worth of the newest trends and fashion news. I can't stress enough how important it is if you are very involved in fashion to read these pages. If it's a big part of work it's most important to read these.
Page 97 "Lucky How-To" Another article that Lucky does on a regular basis to which I enjoy very much! Styles in this issue include putting boxy tops & trousers together and the disheveled button-down. All great to know. Very trendy and so easy to do.
Page 118 is has the cover girl Camilla Belle and some of her favorites in makeup and clothing. She is simple stunning in anything she has on her.
Page 125 "Beauty Spy" Features a few pages in new products and looks that take no time to do! it includes a feature on eye primer and an article on fragrances.
Page 139 "Lucky Spring Show Guide" Yes ladies i'll let you rush to your Lucky mag and go straight to that page first....I'll wait......Basically it features the hottest trends in shoes from pumps to wedges they are all there. I personally love them all. I'm a freakin' shoe whore! and bags too but thats for later....
Page 156 "Lucky Spring Trend Special" the title says it all. Trends trends trends.....i'll tell you one thing I need to stock up on my floral prints ASAP!
Page 184 " Fashion Calculator" how to look fabulous for less then $200 bucks and with this economy I'd take a look at this article. It includes clothing from everywhere including Newport-news.com & target.com
Page 203 "Lucky Breaks" as always! for the best deals in beauty and fashion the back of the mag is where to go!

NYLON Magazine February 2009
Hi Babies!
So today is a happy day! I bought my new COACH bag and I FINALLY got my issue of NYLON in the mail and Hopefully I'll get picked for blog of the week (Crosses fingers.)
So Let's get to it! Camilla Belle (10,000 B.C.) is our cover girl this month. Very sweet and beautiful girl. She is an up and coming actress and the rumor is she is with one of the JO Bros....hmmmm Taylor Swift would be so pleased.
Also on the cover "243 looks to fall in love with" and "Franz Ferdinand: the best-dressed band in the world" Great reads I recommend them both.
Page 34 "Under Cover: Camilla Belle" features the make up she used during the shoot. All were L'OREAL High Intensity Pigment (HiP) products including Jelly Balm in Plush, Metallic Shadow Duo in Platinum and High Drama Volumizing Mascara in Ultimate Black. I for one love this line by L'OREAL. The pigments truly are bright and colorful. It's really good makeup and I advise anyone who is going out and partying or bar hopping this is perfect. It stays on long and lasts.
Page 39 "I Want Candy" is a interesting read. It talks about the Creative Director of Pollini and how he (Jonathan Saunders) is taking the line to a sweeter (Yes I said it) Place. I enjoyed it. Those Lollipops look so good!
Page 64 is super cute it lists a few V-day movies that you should watch with your boo. No it's not all lovey dovey They've got "Lolita" "Sid and Nancy" and "Manhattan."
Page 74 has of course "NYLON News" All the lastest in art and fashion. What I love about NYLON is that the two go together in such a way that leaves the reader almost speechless at times. So amazing.
Page 85 "Working Girls" I loved this. Photos by Miko Lim. Let me tell you the model looks amazing. Basically it features well some interesting clothing. I'm hoping to get a body like that one day and really wear some of that.
Page 105 is one cover story " Dukes of the Dance Floor" Franz Ferdinand is featured. They talk about the new album and their choices when it comes to style. It was a good read. I'm not a big fan of the band but I learned a little more about them.
Page 116 "Film Strips" Small features about movies that are coming out soon including Joaquin Phoenix's last film "Two Lovers" I really wish he wouldn't go. He is so good at what he does.
Page 125 is the cover girl's interview. Camilla Belle "Mercury Rising" I enjoyed the piece. I learned so many new things about her. She seems very grounded and sweet. Cares about the people around her and has lost and gained so much to get where she is at. The newest film she is in is called "PUSH" Which also stars Dakota Fanning. Should be a good one. Let's all go to the movies lol.
Page 133 THEY'RE BACK! I'm talking of course about Jack and Kelly Osbourne. How good is it to see them sober and healthy and clean. Apparently they are going to try doing a Variety Show. I laughed at first but it dawned on me that it might not be so bad. Maybe because we are used to seeing them curse and hit each other that it's hard to see them joking and singing doing the whole thing. I wish them the best of luck!
Well my loves those were my favorites this time around. I'm sure you'll find so much more to enjoy. NYLON is one of those magazines.
